Grass Seeds

Non-aggressive clump grasses such as Sheep Fescue and Hard Fescue work well with wildflowers. They provide good erosion control stating the first season. These grasses perform well in most areas of the United States. The best times to plant cool season grasses are spring and fall. For the southeastern states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Misssissippi, and South Carolina, warm-season grasses are recommended.

The native warm season grasses are generally slower growing than cool season grasses. These warm season grasses are usually planted for aesthetic and ecological reasons rather than for prompt stabilization of soil. The best times to plant warm season grasses are late spring and summer.
